Words of Inspiration and Motivation

T. Berry Brazelton, MD  had a life time of achievements and contributions to Early Childhood field as well as the medical field, but that was not enough for him. He felt he had more to add; age was not going to slow him down when it comes to helping children. One of my favorite quotes by Brazelton because it shows his passion for children. His response to receiving an honor:
“I’m 94 years old, but I’m not done. There’s more to do.”

"If at the height of this emotion, I suddenly left off reproaching him and substituted caresses and a few words of affection and encouragement, I obtained an increase of emotion which doubled the expected effect." Always remember that natural caring can result in a bonding way more powerful than threat.  –Jean-Marc-Gaspad Itard

My passion comes from wanting to make a difference… I am not here to save the world, but I am here to just make a difference... - Raymond Hernandez MS Ed

  1. Michelle,
I enjoyed reading your blog and I love that you included a quote from Dr. Brazelton. I wrote about him in this week's discussion board as well. I hope that all educators work with the same passion as Dr. Brazelton, President Clinton, and those we viewed in the passion video so that these children will have some sort of chance and opportunities in life.

  2. The quote from Raymond Hernandez really resonated with me because I want to make a difference especially in my community or at my workplace. Change is inevitable so why not? I dont look to save the entire world because it will take care of itself but I do look to make a difference where I am not. Thanks for the great quote!
